About me
Kohinoor Mukherjee is one of the most sought-after Mixing & Mastering Engineers in Bollywood and regional film industries. He also works in the indie and fusion music scenes across the globe.
As a child, Kohinoor Mukherjee inherited the love and passion for music from his mother, Raka Mukherjee, an internationally renowned Hindustani classical vocalist. His love for music went beyond the Indian field, and he took a liking to western classical as well. Soon enough, he started receiving vocal training from his mother and piano training from Mr. Sam Engineer.
After moving to Mumbai, in 2006, he pursued a Sound Engineering course from the Digital Academy and worked as a Recording Engineer with music director Anand Raj Anand. In 2008, Kohinoor came in contact with music director Pritam, and continued to record most of the top-rated Bollywood singers in many of the popular films.
Almost simultaneously, he focused more on mixing & mastering, which led to his rise as one of the most sought-after Mixing & Mastering Engineers in Bollywood and regional film industries. He has also worked in the indie and fusion music scenes, and received the IRAA Award for Independent Song Mixing in 2018.
